Some Goodies

I got a delivery today. Yay. All the wedding goodies that I ordered so I could finally do my wedding album. It's one of those things that I have put off since they are all pre-digi pics. But this line from Making Memories has persuaded me otherwise. I love the texture and the glitter and the shimmer. Just so pretty.(I think I may have way over ordered on the paper though) I might have another RAK when I'm finished ;o)
Battling the flu at the moment. Took Caitlin to Dreamworld last week and I've been sick ever since. Thankfully it's the school holidays so I can get a bit of extra sleep.
Anyway - have a happy week.

I placed 2 fairly big orders over the weekend. I have finally decided to do my wedding album. And I thought the Making Memories "I do" collection would be perfect. Love love love the album. Really pretty. Also got masses of paper - so I have enough to finish it.
Now I just have to wait for it all to arrive.....

Okay

So here's the layouts from the Making Memories class. I finally added pics, journalling and
embellies as they were very basic paper only layouts.

And from the YourStory book I did the page that sits under the transparency (It's for journalling)

And the last page.

I think there was a total of 6 pages altogether. I'm a bit disappointed - the front pages are falling out. They weren't bound properly. So I really need to get a "Yourstory" machine to fix it......except they are not available here yet. Spewing!! And not sure now if I want one. Grrr...
I think I'll wait and see .
Feeling in a giving mood - so if you would like to win these acrylic stamps, leave me a comment and I'll draw a winner on Monday

Anyway, off to get the kids. Have a fabulous weekend. I'm hoping for a quiet one,

Scrapbook Expo...what a day

It was a rush from the minute I got up. I woke up late. Had 15 minutes to grab a coffee get ready and get going. I did get there on time....without my camera. Good on me.
My first class was with Jodi Holbrook from Making Memories. She was just gorgeous. We made this little matchbook from a brad package.

And then we made this book that took all of a couple of minutes.

I had a half hour break and had a quick cuppa with Leanne & Val. And then it was back to class. And only now have I just realised that I forgot to photograph the layouts from my next class. Oops. It was again with Jodi.

My last class was using the YourStory by Provocraft. And I only managed to finish three of the six? pages. So I just got her to bind it there so I could just finish them at home. There was alot of stuffing around with the cricut and not very clear instructions which ate up alot of the time.

Hopefully I can finish it sometime this week.

I did make a new friend. She brought chocolate and was the only one to sit next to me in a class all day. She had me laughing all the way through this class and she really did brighten my day.
Thanks Donna!! You're a star!

I didn't really get close to any of the stalls as I was basically rushing from class to class. Which meant I didn't spend a cent. So to make up for it - I ordered these today. I got 2 of the Artbin Satchels so I can organise my SC kits so all my bits & pieces don't get wrecked. I've got a few kits here so I probably should have got more. Oh well, I'll make it work ;o)

And if you made it this far - you're a champion!!
Have a fabulous week ;o)

Today

Some flowers for Mum. It was her 60th birthday yesterday.

And my bag is packed. I am ready to rock. Heading off early & hoping there is not too much traffic. Hubby is at work & Mum has the kids for the night. So hopefully I'll be able to get a reasonably early night.
Have a fabulous weekend, whatever you may be doing xxx

Canvas album

I made a start on my canvas album over the weekend. I don't really like how it turned out - but that's what you get when you don't plan what you're doing. My best ideas have never come from randomly throwing bits on.
Oops - too late now ....
